Before. Like the interior the exterior was dated and worn. Here is the back of the house, on the lake side, before work began.
The weathered unpainted siding on the upper level contrasted unattractively with the light-gray aggregate brick-block of the lower level. There was an exposed patio and no deck.
Here it is after renovation. This was before most of the landscaping, which allows the house itself to be seen more clearly. Painting the siding to match the block and highlighting architectural details in blue gives the house an integrated and light look. Note the balcony-deck and the lower deck that it shelters.
